We are your Jewish Home in the Northwoods and a regional synagogue serving the Jewish community of the Upper Wisconsin Valley. Synagogue life here has something for everyone. The synagogue is located in Wausau, yet our community hails from near and far to connect with the spirit of Jewish life. Throughout the year we hold services in various locations including Stevens Point, Marshfield, and Minocqua.
Jewish life here invites everyone to participate and contribute. At Mt. Sinai there is no sitting on the sidelines — as a small synagogue, we know that everyone makes a difference. Our congregation’s vitality comes from its central place in the lives of our members. Many of us came from someplace else, so we understand what it means to be a newcomer and how important it is to be truly welcomed into a new home.
